Let’s set your team up for success. Great-looking team apparel starts with great artwork. Follow these guidelines and we’ll make sure your prints look sharp, clean, and game-ready.

Submit High-Resolution Logos

High-resolution files only. Low-res logos look fine on a screen but fall apart when printed, blurry edges, jagged lines, and muddy details.

Why it matters:

• Printing = magnification
• Low-res artwork can’t be “fixed” without redrawing
• Clean files = clean prints
• If it looks pixelated when you zoom in, it’s too low resolution.

Best File Formats: 

• SVG, EPS, Illustrator (best option, scalable, super clean)
• PNG (high-res with transparent background)

Avoid:

• JPGs with backgrounds
• Screenshots
• Logos pulled from websites or social media

Colour Setup: CMYK vs RGB vs Pantone

• RGB: Used for screens (phones, monitors, websites). Brighter, more vibrant but not print-accurate.
• CMYK: Used for traditional printing. More predictable for print output.
• Pantone: Colour swatch book used for colour matching embroidery thread and film output 

For Prairie Star printing:

• DTF Printing: RGB files are acceptable - we manage color conversion for optimal print results. The transformation from RGB to CMYK will reduce colour vibrancy.
• Embroidery: Solid colours work best. We may match thread colours to your brand or suggest slight adjustments for clean stitching

If colour accuracy is critical (school colours, league rules), let us know up front. Supply your Pantone colour for best colour accuracy.
